If you have a new product or want to promote a new service that you are offering or perhaps you have a new website that you have just launched for your business then a combination of SEO and Adwords is the best way to generate leads for your business both in the short and long term.
So how does this work and what combination mix should you be using?
Firstly, you need to start with an Adwords campaign as this will deliver immediate short term results. Adwords are instant ( you may have to wait a couple of hours for Google to verify your ads) and you can be receiving calls, inquiries and sales leads almost immediately. This is the beauty of Adwords and this is why they are so popular.
All you need to do is choose your keywords, write your ads, give Google your credit card and presto, your ads will appear. The thing that you need to know about Adwords is how to configure them properly and how to optimise your ads, daily spend and keywords so you are getting the most out of them. You will also need to have your ads and keywords landing on high conversion-focused web pages.
This is where it starts to get a bit complicated and all I can advise you is to speak to a company that has experience in this area, especially when it comes to creating targeted landing pages that align perfectly with your ads. If this is not implemented properly you will end up wasting a lot of money and lost opportunities. I suggest getting in touch with us here at SEO Sydney Experts on 02 9360 8514 where we can customise an Adwords campaign and design seriously sales-focused landing pages that will convert those potential customers who click on your ad into actual leads.

Whilst you doing Adwords the best thing you can be doing for your business is starting your SEO campaign. This is a medium to long term strategy and should run concurrently with your Adwords. Over time, as your main keywords (both long and short tail) start to rank and get higher on the search results you will start to notice that a lot of your web traffic and visitors are a direct result of your SEO efforts. Eventually, and I’m talking perhaps 8-12 months later you can start to taper off your Adwords spend as your SEO starts to really kick in.
A lot of people I speak to are reluctant to do both marketing channels as it can get quite costly. But, and I want to emphasise this point, it is really the only way to get people through to your website. Sure you may want to try other things like social media advertising like; Facebook and Instagram ads but trust me when I tell you (and this comes from over 15 years of experience in this industry) that the only thing that really works effectively and the only way to generate solid, qualified leads are through Google. The rest is just peripheral advertising and has nowhere near the type of clout and cut through rate as Google does. It is, in my opinion, the real and only way for your business to get leads. Put simply Google rocks!
I just also want to point out here that when you’re deciding on who to use as your SEO company please be very careful about who you decide to partner with. There are literally thousands of SEO companies all trying to win your business and in this cutthroat space, there is a high percentage of sharks out there looking for suckers to come along. They will quote really low prices and promise you great results all designed to lure you into a false sense of security. My advice is to go with an SEO agency that you can visit (in our case Surry Hills, Sydney) and see what they have to offer.

If you follow these steps and are prepared to accept that Google is king when it comes to lead generation and if you are prepared to use the tools they offer, then and only then will you start to see the benefits for your business. When it comes to the online environment, especially Google you have to play by their rules and look at your sales cycle and leads holistically. It’s not that cut and dry or there is no set and forget solution. When it comes to short and long term marketing online you have to be fluid and very agile and this requires the efforts of an SEO agency that understands this space fluently. Without this type of help or advice, you will flounder. We are here to help.
